We issue an independent, official appraisal report for each set free of charge. For sets valued at CHF 10'000 or more, we offer an optional SSEF certificate, which we provide for an additional charge of CHF 2'150. For sets valued at CHF 25'000 or more, we include the SSEF certificate as standard alongside the appraisal report at no additional cost.

SSEF-Certificate

An SSEF certificate, issued by the Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF), is a highly esteemed document that provides an independent evaluation and analysis of a gemstone. This certificate is internationally recognized and guarantees the authenticity and quality of the gemstone. At Carat Investments, an SSEF certificate is included in the price for purchased colored gemstone sets with a value starting from CHF 25,000.00 for each of the three gemstones, providing you with additional security and confidence in your investment.

This certificate is an essential document for any gemstone owner, as it not only secures the investment but also assists in sales and insurance matters. An SSEF certificate provides detailed information about the origin, quality, and characteristics of the gemstone, ensuring that you receive a gem of the highest authenticity and value.

By utilizing VAT-free storage in the open bonded warehouse, clients can significantly reduce their costs and thereby maximize their returns. This tax saving is a substantial advantage, especially for high-value gemstones.
